Since moving to Bristol in 1986 David Horton works full time as a therapist with individuals and groups, and with other psychotherapists and counsellors as a supervisor.

While in Bristol he has worked as

  • a trainer on the University of Bristol 'Diploma in Counselling

  • a tutor in 'Counselling' at Wesley College.

    the Course Organiser and tutor for the Westminster Pastoral Foundation 'Diploma in Supervision' in Bristol.

  • He is a co-founder of Supervision South West - set up to promote the training and development of supervisors in SouthWest England and South Wales.

  • He has provided counselling / psychotherapy / training consultancy / supervision for organisations such as:

  • Prior to working full-time as a therapist, David Horton was a Methodist Minister on the King's Road in Chelsea. There he created a new Church and pastoral centre, which included a new Sanctuary, 21 flats for elderly persons in housing need, a counselling service, a school for Church and community workers and a 'drop-in' centre for the local community. He also worked as a Pastoral Counsellor and as a Group Counsellor at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation.

David Horton can arrange individual psychotherapy sessions, group therapy  and provide sessions for companies / employees. Supervision of qualified therapists / counsellors can also be undertaken.
